The Industry GEO Index by Ranklit.io shows how visible different industries are in AI systems like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. The data is updated monthly based on anonymized scans from active Ranklit customers and covers 9 industry categories with percentiles (P25, P50, P75, P90).

What is the GEO Score?

The GEO Score (Generative Engine Optimization Score) measures, on a scale from 0 to 100, how visible a website is in AI-generated answers. It is based on real API requests to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. The score is composed of: mention rate (50%), sentiment analysis (30%) and position in the answer (20%).

Available industry categories

The index covers the following industries: e-commerce, SaaS / software, financial services, healthcare, education, travel / tourism, real estate, hospitality and consulting. Each industry is shown with average GEO Score, median, percentiles and AI model breakdown.

How is the data collected?

Ranklit.io sends real requests to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity weekly for all registered domains. The answers are analyzed for mentions, sentiment and citation position. The aggregated, anonymized results form the Industry GEO Index.
